Does Warfarin Cause Red Eye And Blood Shoots In Eye?

Good morning, my name is Levent, I ve had a PE cause by the ruptured Achilles tendon injury recently, Im on 4.5 mg warfarin at the moment, almost a month now, and I got a red eye, blood shoots in my eye since, is this something I should concern about? Thanks

First of all you must make sure whend did you first notice the blood shoot in eye immidiatly after starting wrfarin or later on. Secondly if the blood shoot at would have been sice the time you started on wrfarin then you have to confirm whether it has increased in size of reducing in size. Because the hemorrhage ocurred below the conjunctiva takes 20 to 30 days or even more to get resolved.
Thirdly if the blood shoot is of recent origin then its definitly of concern & you have to go for further laboratory tests namly PT ( prothrombin time ) & INR ( international normalized ratio ) which would clear the picture.

So the blood shoot of recent origine & increasing size is definitly of concern.
