Hello,

Continue to take the medications as prescribed. Take painkillers like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen to relieve pain. Apply cold compress to relieve pain.

Apply Hydrocortisone cream, Aloe vera based ointment, Calamine lotion for pain. You can apply hot compress if cold compress does not work.

Avoid sex for a couple of days, get treated. Stay away from addictions if any so that the efficacy of the medications do not get reduced.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
