Does Using Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Along With Eye Drops Cause An Eye Injury?

I have a new doctor who has prescribed a new med called timolol maleate opthalmic gel forming solution but she neglected to tell me to use any other eyedrops first. Her only instruction was to use them first thing in the morning. I also have another eye drop i use 3 times a day and always used it as soon as i was awake. Just today i read the sheet that came with my solution when i picked it from the pharmacy. I cannot reach her until monday and i wonder if i have injured my eye.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

But dear you didn't mention what are the other eye drops? Timolol is an eye drop given for glaucoma which means increased pressure in the eye. it is a good eye drop and usually doesn't have much side effects or interaction with the other drops.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
