Does Urethritis Cause Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

I was given Doxycycline for urethritus and finished the 10 day prescription 3 days ago. I still have a very small bump on the side of my urethra as well as some purple discoloration. The burning and irratation of my urethra has greatly improved but is still lingering. Im just wondering is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. I think the best way to evaluate your situation is to wait a week after treatment then to do an urine sample. It will show if you have still the Infection or not.
Meanwhile drink lots of fluids and cranberry juice or tea is recommended.
Take care.
Hope my answer was helpful, if yes, vote helpful.
Regards, Dr Olgeta Xhufka ( general and family physician ). .
