Does Thyroid Dysfunction Cause Dizziness?

I had severe anemia during pregnancy. Symptoms seemed to resolve themselves after delivering our son early. Now, I am dizzy, almost to the point of LOC and tired again. Wondering if this may be the issue or my thyroid. I had levels checked last week and called for results, but received nothing yet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many medical conditions that can cause dizziness.

Low level of thyroid hormone is one of the common causes.

One other cause can be anemia.

So, I suggest doing a complete blood count to exclude this probable cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
