Does The Myopia Level Changes With Age?

sir , my daughter presently aged 6 years , had eye sight problem from age of four , ther her power in RE was --6 and LE --3, recently her power had increased to --RE: --6.50 Dsph --2.50Dcyl , and LE: --6.00 Dsph --2.50Dcyl. doctor ttol it is a case if High Myopia and advised to wear spectacle continuously. he also tol that her retina is ok . please tell me is there any reason to worry about , whetjet this power will increase with her age ? any alternative treatment available or not? her age : six years . please note her mother also have power in her both eyes -8.

Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter is having myopia and her mother is also having myopia.
This indicates pathological myopia and this changes as the age increases with the increase in the length and other dimensions of the eyeball.

As of now there is no treatment to halt the progression of the myopia. But by regular use of glasses and frequent eye examination to find out the change in the myopia and correction for it, use of vitamin A rich foods will prevent rapid progression of myopia.
