Does The Mold And Bacteria Causes Any Breathing Or Coughing Problems?

We are having pink bacteria/mold in our toilets and even the dogs water dish. What is causing this, and is it a health hazard? Does it have anything to do with the well water? We live in the country, never noticed this in 43 years. We also have a softwater filter on our system. This has been occuring in the last several (4-6) months. Does is cause any breathing or coughing problelms? Sharon
