Does The Pilonidal Sinus Surgery Affects During Delivery?
Hi, I had Pilonidal Sinus Surgery back when i Was 18 years old. Now I am 29 and Pregnant. Will this cause any problem during Delivery? Any Problem while taking Epidural during Delivery? I have not yet shared this surgery to my OBYN because this was a way back problem and I got the surgery done so thought won t be necessary.
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.. I understand your concern.. Pilonidal sinus which was operated years back is not going to cause any problem for normal vaginal delivery. Episiotomy can be safely given. Epidural analgesia helps in painless delivery. It is by inserting a catheter into the epidural space and injecting anaesthetic drug.. Complications include Immediate complication include Hypotension ,Urinary retention, forceps/vacuum assisted delivery Delayed complication include Postdural puncture headache,Transient backache,Epidural abscess or meningitis. These all are remote complications, its commonly given to all patients. hope i have answer your queries.. good day.
