Does The BCG Vaccination Need To Be Repeated?

My daughter got BCG vaccination on 2nd day of her birth (DOB 26th Jan 2011). But it is said that after BCG vaccination a small pimple like thing should come on the spot where injection is taken. if the pimple does not come then that means need to take BCG vaccination again. Since I have not observed any pimple on her arm. kindly advise whether there is need of BCG vaccination again or not?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi..yes, there is a development of papule which ulcerates and forms scar over a period of 8 to 10 weeks. If such thing has not happened it means the take of vaccine is not good. The baby needs to be given the vaccine again.
