Does Teething Cause Diarrhea, Fever And Shivering?

15 mth old son who has had diarrhea for 3 days now, a fever above 100 for 2 days and just tonight at bath time he came down with violent shivering in the tub. He was leaning forward in the tub, kind of like constipation? I took him out and he felt so hot. He continued to shiver until he feel asleep in my arms. I took his temp under his arm and it read 102.5. I gave him ibuprofrin and put him to bed. He is teething; getting his molars now. But I am wondering if this is something we need to go to urgent care for or if he can wait until his 15mth check up which will be in 2 days. Advice??

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Teething has no relation to diarrhea and fever with shivering.
You may try paracetamol 15 mg/kg body weight along with tepid sponging.
If not cotrolled better consult your doctor soon.
