Does Taking Qsymia Lead To Diabetes?

Hi, I am a 21 year old female, height of 5 2 & weighing around 260 pounds. I have struggled with weight loss. I have done good dieting, I exercise moderately (could be better), have gotten tested for thyroid issues but I am healthy all around. I have a family with a strong background of diabetes and I do not want to be another statistic due to genetics. I lost 3 family members due to diabetes including my own dad. I stumbled across a weight loss drug called Qsymia about a year ago and never gave it thought because I wanted to keep trying to lose weight the natural way. No results, the most i have lost was about 10 pounds but gained it back. I wanted to know what were your thoughts on Qsymia. I am aware of the side effects. I have done some research on it & have read reviews from people taking it. I really need help with losing weight. I dont want to take Qsymia just to lose weight. I am interested because I would like to avoid chronic diseases such as diabetes. I am healthy, do not smoke nor drink, am not on medication & am not sexually active (aka not having kids anytime soon).

Dear sir

I dont think taking qsymia will lead to diabetes, as there is no associated side effects related to that drug.

You can continue doing regular physical activity and dietary restrictions especially if you have strong family history of diabetes or if you have any risk factors leading to diabetes.

So dont worry, loosing weight will help you to prevent diabetes.

Thanks
