Does Taking Cytotec Tablets Orally And Vaginally Cause Abortion?

Good day doctor, I have a girlfriend and it is almost 3 week pregnant, we decided to to get rid of it for a personal reason, she took 4 tablet of cytotec 200 mcg, 2 orally and 2 inserted in her vagina with an empty stomach, she experience normal side effect of the drug head ache, cramping, diarrhea, and a few redish light discharge of fluid to her vagina for 1day.. Does the process is successful? Do we need to take another dose? How can we know if the process is successful? Thank you for helping us..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Taking count that she had bleeding most probably it was effective. Doing an ultrasound and BHCG blood test can show if it is still continues or not.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
