Does Taking Combigan Cause Low Pulse Rate?

Hi--I am currently using combigan for increased eye pressure, concurrent with fluorometholone drops to treat chronic iritis; I have recently been tested for sinus bradycardia and am wondering whether the combigan could have impacted my low pulse rate? I am 68 yrs old and have always had a low pulse rate but not the bradycardia. My e-mail address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you.

Hi,

You did not mention since how long you've been taking Combigan but If you have tested for sinus bradycardia after taking Combigan, your slow heart rate is most probably due to this medicine because it may cause irregular or slow heart rate.

I will suggest talking to your primary care physician or if possible a cardiologist if your ophthalmologist wants you to continue with Combigan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma,
