Does Taking Cinex And Combutol For Intestinal Tuberculosis Cause Liver Damage?

I am 26 year old n sufferring from intestinal tb i am taking the medicine r cinex n combutol 800 from last 9 months. Can you please confirm how much more months i have to take this medicine? And my liver will be damaged or not due to this treatment..plzz reply

Yes, these medications can cause liver damage as their side effects. In case if you develop symptoms of liver damage like fever, right upper abdominal pain, loss of appetite, vomiting, yellowish discoloration of the skin you should consult your treating doctor immediately for further evaluation and your doctor would prescribe alternate effective but safer medicines to treat tuberculosis. Generally, the the duration of treatment for intestinal tuberculosis is between 12 to 18 months in most of the hospitals, however you should consult your doctor so that he can assess the clinical improvement properly.
