Does Strep Throat Cause Recurring Fever?
Good evening, yesterday I had a tempeture of 102 in the morning , a sore throat and slight sinus headache. The doctor prescribed amoxicillin. He took a throat culture which I will know results Tom afternoon. Can strep throat make the fever reoccur?This morning my temp was 99.2. Within past hour I started getting chills and now my temp is 101.5

Yes, strep throat can cause recurrent fever. I recommend to use anti-pyretics to treat the fever such as Tylenol. I also suggest to continue the antibiotics prescribed by your doctor to treat the infection.
