Does Spilling Of Milk Post Feeds Require Any Medication For An Infant?
My Baby is 30 Days old. From past 1 week, after feeding he spills out milk and during feeding he seems to be breathless. After feeding we pat our child on his back for the burp, but after 10 minutes, he spills out milk. Please guide. Or if any medication is required, please suggest
If your child is gaining weight well and is not blue when he feeds (you mentioned he seems to be breathless) then very likely the spilling of milk is due to the extra milk that the baby has ingested. Some babies feed very quick and can get extra air with the milk and also might feed more then they really need so they may spill milk after they feed.
This is a very common finding in infants and is nothing to worry as long as the child seems well, is gaining weight well and does not turn blue or cough when he feeds.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
