Does Smoking Withdrawal Cause Vertigo, Hot Flashes And Bleeding Gums?

Since I quit smoking 3 months ago I've been experiencing some pretty disturbing symptoms, such as, extreme dizzy spells and vertigo followed by hot flashes. Also, faintness, weakness in my limbs, blurred vision, bleeding gums and just feeling completely off balance. Are these symptoms of nicotine cessation? I've never heard of anyone having symptoms like these after quitting. All I know is that's when my symptoms started.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your query you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms of Nicotine as long term intake leads to dependence and once if it is suddenly withdrawn it causes withdrawal symptoms and all you symptoms are pointing towards it..

You should consult a Addiction medicine specialist and he can advise you to take over the counter products that will ease your symptoms like Nicotine chewing gums and skin patches..
Gum bleeding can be controlled by maintaining good oral hygiene, getting scaling done and topical application of gum paint..

Certain things that can exaggerate the withdrawal symptoms should be avoided like being with smokers, taking tea and coffee, staying idle and alone, drinking alcohol etc..

You can also reduce the severity of symptoms by indulging in activities of choice, doing meditation and deep breathing exercises, taking a nutritious diet and chewing sun flower seeds or other hard things like candies..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
