Does Short Period Mean Pregnancy?
Hi I was supposed to start my period on the 7th of this month. It was two weeks late. Sunday evening around 10pm i started to have lower abdominal pain and started bleeding with clots. It was a very dark red and wasnt like my normal period. Today my period has stopped. I usually have a period that lasts about a week. maybe six days at the least. could I be pregnant?

delayed periods or shorter duration of periods with decreased flow can indicate pregnancy
please write for how many days this period was & was the flow also much less than ur average periods
if a patient with delayed periods & decreased flow comes to me with dark altered blood I would immediately do her urine pregnancy test ( upt )
if Upt comes positive pregnancy is diagnosed but still such a patient would need per vaginum examination( by gynecologist ) to know size of uterus & ultrasound for fetal well being to rule out missed abortion.
abdominal pain & bleeding with clots is not normal in pregnancy & needs further evaluation
Delayed periods with dark altered blood could be a sign of missed abortion
