Does Seizure Medication Cause Impotency?

I had been consuming encorate chrono for past 2 years to control seizure. I am employed in gulf. I am 34 now. I got the attack in 2012 for the first time . last one month I skipped the medicine and I got the attack first time in sleep. Earlier 3 times I got the attack only while having food. This time I am in India and consulted a doctor here, she prescribed me phenytoin 100mg tablets since I was having some stomach problems while taking encorate chrono. But now while having this phenytoin tablets I feel a little bit dizziness. While bringing down my head after looking up I feel a little heaviness in my head and feel like movements in the surroundings. Dear doctor can you pls advice me on this. Is it a matter of concern. I am recently married and don t have kids still. Does seizure / it medication cause impotency?

Drowsiness is one of the side effects of phenytoin and may affect erection at that particular point in time but will not affect sperm production. At the beginning, the drowsiness may be remarkable but with time the body will get use to this drug and the side effects would be reduced. You do not need to worry.
