Does Salmonella Poisoning Occur Through Vagina?

As...amusing as it was to book an appointment with this so called Doctor for my sister who s in her Second Trimester, cause she was concerned that she had gotten Salmonella poisoning from a chicken sandwich she had eaten a few days prior. My sister, being the person she is decided to take my joke to far...or too seriously, and proceeded to ask the nurse who was there doing her blood work if it was possible for one to get Salmonella through their Vagina. Our question was not answered, by her nor the Doctor when she asked her in turn. So because my curiosity is more of a pestilence than my pride please if you may. Can one get Salmonella poisoning through their vagina?
