Does Renal Failure Affect The Thyroid Function?

Hello, My name is Lauren. My granddaughter was born with congenital hypothyroidism and has been taking Synthroid since birth. We found out at age 4 she has kidney reflux and malformed kidneys. She is now I Stage 4. Her endocrinologist is furious with my daughter because her TH levels are too high........Because she is in renal failure, does it affect the thyroid function and TH levels?

Your daughter is having multiple congenital defect. It is to be seen whether its complete or partial. Accordingly hormone replacement is to be made. This is sporadic in nature. endocrinologist has to treat your grand daughter.
