I m bleeding very heavy on my second day of my period,I have went thru one tampon in an hour,I also have a cyst on my right ovary that was leaking back in June of this year 2015,I also have CHRONIC ANEMIA. I DO take 65mg of iron pills EVERY DAY,do you think I might be hemorrhaging right now?

Hello,

The iron pills would not have to do with the increase in bleeding. The iron is actually replacing the substance that your body is losing through the large amount of blood. If you are having to change your tampon once an hour, I would see your doctor. Are you taking any blood thinners such as Coumadin, Aspirin or Xarelto? Be mindful of any symptoms from the increased blood loss such as dizziness, lightheaded feeling and seek medical attention right away if you pass out.
