Does Power In Eyes Increase With Age?
Hi my daughter is 8 years old, we found out that she has -2 power in both her eyes and she needs to wear glasses . It says Sphere -2 and Cylinder plus 0.50 in her left eye , and -2 in her right. Will her power increase every year and will be a concern ? , please let me know.

The refractive errors will show increase as the age increases because of growth of the eye ball till the age of 21. To prevent this rapid increase spectacles need to be worn regularly and eye examination is necessary once in 6-12 months to check for any variation and correction accordingly.
