Does Pain Relieving Drugs, Steroid Epidural Injection Effect The Sperms ?

My hasband has recently been given an X-ray and an MRI scan due to his back pain . Also, he was repeatedly given pain-relieve drugs, including morphine, for a whole week. After that he was given a steroid epidural injection into his back. Would any of these have affected his sperm production or caused birth defect? Many thanks.

hi,welcome to HCM,MRI scan is absolutely safe,as it has no harmful radiation.as far as x ray is concern,there is some radiation exposure but one x ray do not cause much changes in normal sperm production.
so no need to worry.hope it will be helpful.

hi,morphine comes under opiates.opiates may affect the hormone production,which may affect sperms but therapeutic doses for brief period will not affect sperm count.
so,do not worry and relax.hope it will be useful.
