Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my pacemaker check yesterday. It s being checked monthly now because the battery life is low. I was told that the battery life is 3 months by the technician. Does this mean 3 months? or is there some padding on the 3 months? I was not not told that they will schedule a replacement surgery. They simply scheduled another pacemaker check in one month. You didn t tell me you were going to charge me money.
r u talking about an implanted pacemaker. if it is yes then the technician should buy sony or Panasonic batteries made in Japan. not china. the lowest life soan is 5 yrs. usually it last for 8-10 yrs if there has been no defib occurrences in between. with respect to ur health run as fast as u can to the next cardiac centre. I think u r being taken for a ride if ur pacemaker is implanted.
