Does Oral Administration Of Misoprostol Tablets Help In Abortion?
hello. i wanted to ask that is oral misoprostol effective for abortion? i had placed 4 tablets vaginally bt they did not dissolve completely and 2 of them fell off in d morning when i had bath. then i took 4 tablets orally with water.. will it cause complete abortion

Yes oral administration of Misoprostol tablets help in abortion but it should be used under observation after taking proper guidance of gynecologist. It should be put high in vagina for abortion by the gynecologist. You did not put high in the vagina , that is the reason of fell off during the bath. Dose of misoprostol is 800 ug vaginally or orally after usg by confirming intrauterine pregnancy of less than 9 week. Additional two extra dose should be given 6 hourly if needed by gynecologist. Normally bleeding start with in 1-2 hour after last pill. If no bleeding and pain maximum after 3 days, you should consult the gynecologist for abortion by surgical process like evacuation. Usg should be done aftre 14 days to confirm the incomplete abortion.
