Does My Report Shows Bacterial Vaginosis Or Other Infection?
Hello I am 24 weeks pregnant and want to know what means this vaginal gram stain which shows this: Gram positive bacilli in single: ++ Gram positive bacilli in pairs: + Epithelial cells: 2+ Just to mention this is a follow up stain, that doctor requested to check if I am still having bacterial vaginosis or not or any other Infection. I am asintomatic patient.

Yes ma'am, you still have some of the infection left. I would advice you not to discontinue the antibiotic course, and continue it for at least another 3 days. Some times the bacteria can be resistant, but at the same time I would also urge you to request your doctor for a urine culture and sensitivity examination if it was not already done.
