Hallow Dear, Usually, 10 days after abortion, the pregnancy test becomes negative. However, your test is weak positive. It could be due to one of the following causes: 1. The levels of hCG in your body have not gone to undetectable levels as yet. May be if you repeat the test after few days, it may report negative. May be you have aborted incompletely. 2. Ectopic Pregnancy: The pregnancy might have been implanted somewhere outside the uterine cavity. Such pregnancies report weak positive results of pregnancy test. Medicines for abortion abort only the pregnancy in the uterine cavity. They cannot abort ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy (usually tubal) cannot grow for more days and ultimately ruptures. This is a serious bleeding emergency which requires surgical intervention with many units of blood transfusion. The diagnosis can be clinched by ultrasonography. If USG shows some products in the uterine cavity, it is incomplete abortion and needs to be completed by surgical procedure. If the uterus is empty and the pregnancy test is weak positive, the chances of ectopic pregnancy are very high.
