Does Hiatal Hernia Cause Any Problems In Urination?
I went to the doctors yesterday and found out that I have a Hiatal Hrrnia and have to go have a consult for surgery but my question is,having a hernia does it cause problem when going the bathroom,it is hard to urinate and not to much comes out and it seems to hurt when trying to go?
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Hiatus Hernia and difficulty in passing urine.
Difficulty in passing urine can not be due to Hiatus Hernia. It could be due to narrowing of the urethra passage (Stricture Urethra) However this can be confirmed by clinical examination and radiological test termed as Retrograde Cystourthrography.
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and get the tests done under his guidance .
Further treatment will be decided by him and will depend upon the findings of the test.
