Thanks for contacting HCM with your medical questions. I am sorry to hear that you have been having sore throat over the past week. Since you have been on numerous antibiotics recently and your strep test was negative there is a good possibility that you have thrush or candida/fungal infection in the throat. The white patches usually appear on the soft upper palate and also on the insides of the mouth. These areas can be painful and feel like you have something caught in your throat. I do recommend that you continue to take your antifungal medication but if you do not improve soon then seek medical attention again Hope this answers your question.
