Does Exposure To Acidic Chemicals Harm Pregnancy ?
I work in a poultry plant that is using perasidic acid, chlorine and a chemical they call TSP. I'm exposed to all the fumess and Im experiensing runny nose, sneezing, burning eyes, head aches and a dificult time breathing. I'm 22 weeks pregnant can any of this harm my child.
if you are suffering the symptoms that you describe, you should consider finding another job, even if it does not harm the baby. it doesn't sound like you are tolerating these chemicals very well yourself.
as for the baby, the chlorine and acid that you describe should not tech the baby, as your baby is protected. but I am not sure about TSP as I don't know exactly what it is. perhaps, if you are not already doing this, you can work with a mask that might help you feel better and avoid some of these exposures? I hope this helps, stay healthy and if you find out what TSP stands for please let me know
