Does Excessive Smoking Lead To An Infection In The Throat?

Iv smoked off and on for three years. Usually a pack a week. Or more. After one my throat itches at te base and it feels dry and scratchy. Ami havin a reaction? An early start to somethin more? And is there any precautions I can take to delay the effects of smoking on the throat? Thanks

I have gone through your query; and agree with you that excessive smoking may lead to an infection in the throat due to the erosion of the mucosa of oral cavity.

Better to avoid smoking, also alcohol drinking and spicy food if you have.
