Does Drug Abuse Cause Heart Palpitations With Stabbing Pain?

My friend did the drug glass about 12 hours ago her heart is beating fast she says she feels like she is being stabbed in the chest should she go to hospital or will it pass she did only about 10 cents worth and she shot it up it has been 14 plus years since I used and it never happened to me expessialy for the symptoms to start so many hours later
