Does Delayed Menstruation With Mild Cramps And Backache Indicate Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor.. I moved to USA from India 4 months back.. My periods are irregular right from the month I came to USA.. cycle lengths are 20,26,33 and this month it has not come yet.. Last periods was on June 31st 2014.. Yesterday I got a egg white discharge mixed with very little amount of blood.. I am having mild cramps and back pain.. Could I be pregnant ? or could this be any other problem ?

Hello and welcome.

As your menstrual cycles have been irregular, it is unclear whether your delay could be due to pregnancy or a hormonal change brought about by change in lifestyle, diet, etc.

It would be wise to conduct a home pregnancy test, and if it returns a negative result then report to your doctor for an elaborate evaluation. Hope you have your medical insurance.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
