Does Alcohol Have An Affect On The Effectiveness Of The I-pill?

I recently had unprotected sex, Tuesday afternoon to be exact but I had alcohol during the last night and today, I took a morning after pill a few hours ago since I did not want to risk anything. I was just wondering if alcohol can affect the effectiveness of the pill

Hello and thanks for your question. The I-pill or morning after pill will not be decreased in effectiveness by the alcohol. Please understand that the I-pill is not 100% effective and if you miss a period you should take a pregnancy test. If you are having unprotected sex it would also be a good idea to start taking a prenatal vitamin as they can prevent birth defects if taken in early pregnancy. Good health to you.
