Does A Morning After Pill Affect The Bladder And Cause Frequent Urination?

Hi, I took the morning after pill about 3-4days ago; after my boyfriend and I had intercourse and the condominium got stuck in me after he had finished. And out of shock of possibly getting pregnant I went and took the morning after pill about 20mins after the incident. Ever since I took the morning after pill I’ve had urgent/frequent urination whether it’s little to nothing as well as it occurring mins after recently using the restroom. The urine it’s self is clear-to-little yellow coloring but I don’t experience any pain when urinating or stomach/back pain so I’m wondering if the morning after pill can effect your bladder in any way and over time will this frequent urination subside?

Hi,

Bladder symptoms are not related to birth control pills.

It may be due to an associated UTI (urinary tract infection) or may be due to anxiety.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
