Does Zantac Interact With AlgaeCal Plus?
i am taking zantac 4times daily as prescribed by my ent physician for reflux (both esophogeal and laryngo-pharangeal). i also taking a calcium supplement for my recently diagnosed bad case of osteoporosis. i m a 75 year old male in otherwise good health. as the zantac is an acid inhibitor and as i have been told that calcium needs acid to be properly assimilated, is the zantac undercutting the effective of the calcium supplement (algaecal plus)?

Zantac might reduce the rate of absorption of calcium supplements. You can take algae cal at bedtime after one hour of food intake for better absorption.
