Does Suboxin Show Up As Opiate Drug In A Urine Drug Test?

my son is trying to stop using heroin. they gave him suboxin. he says hes been clean 6 days from heroin. i gave him a 11 panel urine drug test and came out positive for opiates, called nurse at hospital said suboxin may show up as opiates. but every site says no online. what is the truth and do i believe hes clean?

No, it does not. Frankly, it is more likely a false reading (uncommon) to suboxone (no, does not happen). But it is even more likely to be use of a narcotic other than suboxone. Frankly, addiction is a failure driven system which people have yet to wrap their heads around. Instead of finding the right pill for compulsive pill taking, the right approach is to use suboxone (or even better FAILURE from suboxone) as a context to learn what is going wrong and then address these issues. (triggers from associated persons, places, and things can be avoided, or better, brought into the context of treatment... invite the druggie friends to enter treatment together for example).
