I'm a 23 yr old female / 161cm / 67.7kg and have been on Duromine 15mg for 3 days now (not long at all, I know!). I am hoping to lose 11.7kg in about 4 months. I was prescribed Duromine as I've been putting on weight ridiculously fast over the last year and a half and have PCOS (symptoms include cystic acne, ovarian cysts, mood swings/aggression, excessive hair all over body, very irregular periods). It seems the doctors I have been to have tried to fix one of these symptoms without fixing the root of the problem, being the PCOS. Eg. Roaccutane for acne and Duromine for weight loss.
So far on 3 days of Duromine I have felt like I can't focus properly, dark urine, always thirsty, really tired although I can't sleep for more that 5-6 hours a night and feeling like I need to eat but can't stomach more than 2 tiny 'meals' a day.
Would a medication such as Metformin help with the PCOS symptoms, including weight loss problems in line with my already low GI diet and exercise?
