Does Lithium Cause Fatigue And Weight Gain?

Hi I ve had severe lithium toxcicity that caused a fib in turn CARDIAC ARREST x2 and Tia..loss consciousness. 48 hrs..2 yrs later experiencing extreme fatigue..shortness of breath weight gain..and very low thyroid.. 300 ma levothyroxin...5 wks still the same...I feel awful everyday depressed...why am I so so tired and loss of breathing capacity. Also I had a pacemaker/ defib placed a yrs ag0

Hi lithium in high dose can affect thyroid hormone production. Are u still taking lithium? Tiredness can be because of lack of thyroid hormone. Considering that you have a cardiac history the possibilities for loss of breath can be many. It's advisable to meet your doctor to get a better idea of the cause of your symptoms and appropriate treatment. I wish you good health. Take care :)
