Does Formonide 200 Cause Chest Pain?

I am using Formonide 200 for last 3 years for Bronchial Asthama. I had my DNS surgery done November 2011. Since last few days I am experiencing chest pain regularly which I doubt is Engina. Is this a cause of worry or normal side effect of Formonide 200 use?

Hi,

It is unlikely to cause chest pain. Formonide-200 is a combination of a long acting beta receptor agonist (formoterol) and a steroid (budesonide) which is commonly used in long term treatment of asthma and COPD.

Its common side effects include throat irritation, dry mouth, hoarseness of voice, tremors, and oral thrush. It is not known to cause chest pain (suspected angina).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
