Does Epitril And Elavil Have Any Side Effects?
Hi Doctor, Recently i got Anxiety, like tense, fear, not concentrating on anything, etc...i gone one doctor , he is neuro surgeon and he suggested me , Epitril 0.5 mg and Elivel one time a day, when get confuse more he suggested take apitril again, i feel better when using these, but my frnds told that these have side effects and i got fear now.. please suggest me about medication and diet...i am using these tablets since 10 days..

Epitril 0.5 mg tablet contains clonazepam which is used to treat epilepsy (seizures) and anxiety disorder. It decreases the abnormal activities of brain and calms the brain. Common side effects of Epitril are depression, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, impaired coordination, decreased sexual urge, allergy, nervousness, upper respiratory tract infection, blurred vision, muscle pain, ataxia, memory impairment, anorexia, constipation, rhinitis, irregular menstrual periods, diarrhea etc.
Elavil is amitriptyline which works by increasing the amount of serotonin that brain makes. Serotonin can improve mood, emotional state, sleep and the way body responds to pain. Common side effects of amitriptyline are drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, weight gain, trouble urinating, nervousness, insomnia, anxiety, memory loss, headache, increased hunger, changes in taste etc.
