Does Claritin Or Sinus Rinse Cause Tinnitus?
I noticed about a week ago that I have tinnitus. I am a 57 year old female in good health and I take Claritin daily for allergies. I can t take much of anything else because I have glaucoma. I used to get sinus infections twice a year, but that stopped when I began doing a sinus rinse daily. Now I am wondering if either the Claritin or the sinus rinse is causing the tinnitus.

I Tab claritin does not cause tinnitis besides you had been taking for years. Sinus rinsing can cause tinnitis. During sinus rinsing , wter may enter eustachian tube and enter the middle ear. Middle ear contains the sensitive hearing aids which by coming in contac with water can bring tinnitis. May be your tchnique of sinus rinsing is not correct.If i have to treat such a patient i will advice tl stop rinsing, Tab cinnerizine 50 three times a day , tab meclizine three times a day and have steam inhalation. I
