Does Cardizem Cause Irregular Heartbeats?
I am on cardizem XL 240mg for PAC, PVC and SVT. My last 24hr Holter showed a little over 12,000 irregular heart beats (mix of PAC and PVC). I have only been on this new medication for 2 weeks, but my PAC and PVCs frequency has not reduced much at all. Cardizem HAS helped the SVT and the strength of the palpitations . How long should it take for this medication to start working for the PVC and PAC? Should I give it some more time? (This is my 5 medication. I did not handle the beta blockers well).

Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic Forum. Cardizem will be helpful for Supraventricular Tachycardia. It will not affect the frequency of PVC and PAC.
