Does Baby Aspirin Help Reduce The Risk Of Pre-eclampsia?
Hi, I am pregnant and 19 weeks now.I had severe preeclamsia during my first pregnancy and took my baby out through emergency c- section @ 31 weeks.My question is taking baby aspirin now will reduce the risk of preeclamsia again or not?? And second question is I have terrible ulcerative colitis for past 4 years & I'm not taking any medicines for that except Imodium to prevent occasional diarrhea . Is it safe to use Imodium ?

Hi, I understand your concern. Yes, low dose of aspirin prevents preeclampsia. Since it is in very low dose & it is known to be absorbed early,It is contraindicated in gastric ulcers . it is not likely to cause harm in ulcerative colitis. Thanks
