Does Armour Thyroid Have Withdrawal Symptoms?

I have been unable to get my thyroid medication (Armour Thyroid) due to an insurance issue and have not taken it for 5 days. It may be 3-5 more days before I get my prescription approved. What Symptoms can I expect after being with out my medication after so many days?

Hello,

The withdrawal symptoms of leaving armour thyroid are the same as that of hypothyroidism since the body is unable to produce sufficient thyroid hormones. You may experience fatigue, weight gain and irritability. It is always advisable to restock your thyroid medications well in advance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
