Hello,

The HCG levels in early pregnancy can vary widely, and it is difficult to determine whether a pregnancy is ectopic based solely on HCG levels. In general, HCG levels should double every 48-72 hours during early pregnancy. However, this rate of increase can vary between women and even between pregnancies.

Ectopic pregnancy is a serious condition where a fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes. Common signs and symptoms of ectopic pregnancy include abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, shoulder pain, and dizziness. However, some women may not experience any symptoms until the ectopic pregnancy becomes life-threatening.

You might need additional testing, such as an ultrasound, to determine the location of the pregnancy. So, start with ultrasound first, then, decide for the best management strategy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
