Do Rashes With Shrinkage Of Breasts Suggest Cancer?

Hello Dr. Samuel, I am just sending a note as I fear I have breast cancer. I haven t felt myself for a couple of months now and about six months ago I noticed a rash down the side of my breast and it is numb. I also developed a boil in same breast and was on 2 different antibiotics which did nothing at all really and I have also noticed my breast has shrunk a fair bit. I have to go to breast clinic next week for second opinion, but just wanted a answer before I went, and I have also got 2 nipples on the same breast.

rash doesn't cause or predispose to breast cancer. but recent change in breast size especially recent change in nipple position or nipple retraction needs clinical examination. Nothing to worry but it is always advisable to get periodic clinical examination and annual mammography as part of screening
