Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Jyothi B L's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. If ultrasound has failed to identify any enlarged thyroid, you probably do not have any enlarged thyroid. 2. Get a thyroid hormone profile done. Evaluation for any thyroid trouble should start with hormone profile. 3. As there is no difficulty in swallowing, or any pain, not to worry. 4 Dry hair, tiredness and bone pains, are features of hypothyroidism. Meet your doctor to get thyroid hormone profile done. Hypothyroidism need not always have a lump in the neck. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
