Do Gas Pains And Dark Stool Require Medical Requirement?

Good morning, I have been suffering with gas pains in my lower left abdomen since Sunday. Initially, I took two table spoons of Pepto Bismal on Sunday evening to relieve the discomfort.. last night (Tuesday), I took some over the counter gas X before going to bed. I did pass gas and made a BM this morning. However, the color of my stool has been dark for three days. And the gas pains still occur. Should I be concerned of something more serious than gas?
